Urgent Notice to all Entrepreneurs : It’s Obvious

Every entrepreneur should read Evan Williams post on the birth of Obvious Corp. I had the fun of witnessing Evan introduce Odeo at the TED conference where he did a great job leading to a lot of media coverage. Evan wrote the widely read post Ten Rules for Web Startups back in November 2005. He then went on to publicly critique himself by admitting to not following his own rules. ![]()
Honest, straightforward, passionate about what he is working on.
I don’t know Evan personally, but from where I’m sitting absolutely a class act.
My friend Josh Kopelman was an investor in Odeo and has this to say.
Tara at Citizen Agency has a great post on what this means to the new breed of technology entrepreneurs. Nuff said.

Hey Austin: Evan’s Ten Rules for Web Startup is in fact a great read. Another one in that same vein, which echoes a lot your own saying is 18 mistakes for startup essay from YCombinator’s Paul Graham.
